Who Phil Helps
The Central Idea
Greatness Is Rarely
Achieved Alone.
Talent reveals possibility. Coaching helps turn that possibility into progress.
The greatest athletes, leaders, and performers don’t work with coaches because they lack talent. They work with coaches because an outside perspective can reveal what they cannot always see for themselves.
You already possess strengths worth developing. The right coach helps you recognize them, apply them intentionally, and build a path toward the goals that matter most. Are you leading from your strengths—or fighting your weaknesses every day?
Phil’s Experience
I Don’t Coach From a Textbook. I Coach From a Lifetime.
Nearly six decades of business, leadership, entrepreneurship, investing, ministry, speaking, success, failure, and reinvention have taught Phil something no assessment can teach: earned wisdom.
-
My career has taken me through architecture, real estate development, corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, financial services, ministry, speaking, and even stand-up comedy. I’ve served as Vice President of Sales for Mary Kay Cosmetics, built and sold businesses, developed real estate, advised families on their financial futures, and served on the boards of numerous organizations.
Along the way, I’ve experienced success, failure, reinvention, and more than a few unexpected turns. Those experiences have given me something no certification alone can provide: the perspective that comes from a lifetime of learning what helps people and organizations move forward.
-
I bring more than a strengths assessment to the coaching relationship. I bring decades of experience leading businesses, building companies, developing people, making difficult decisions, pursuing ambitious goals, and learning from the times when things did not go according to plan.
That perspective allows me to combine the CliftonStrengths framework with practical, real-world coaching. My role is to help you recognize what you naturally do well, see possibilities you may be missing, and turn those insights into meaningful plan of action.

Most people spend far too much of their lives trying to improve who they are not instead of developing who they already are.
That realization is what drew me to strengths-based coaching. CliftonStrengths identifies the natural patterns of thinking, influencing, relating, and executing that make each person unique. But discovering your strengths is only the beginning.
The real opportunity comes when you learn how to intentionally apply those strengths to the goals that matter most to you. That is the heart of Get-a-G.R.I.P.: aligning where you want to go with the natural talents you already possess.
Ready To Get Started?
YOU HAVE THE GOAL.
YOU HAVE THE TALENT.
Let’s discover how to put the two together.
A conversation is the first step. We’ll talk about what you want to accomplish, where you may be feeling stuck, and whether strengths-based coaching could help you move forward.
